MahaRERA Makes Project Registration Easier with Open Houses in Nagpur and Pune
MahaRERA, the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority, will hold its first open house outside Mumbai on January 22, 2025, in Nagpur. This event will help real estate developers in Nagpur and Pune register their projects more easily with MahaRERA.
Currently, MahaRERA hosts weekly open houses at its office in Mumbai, where developers can get answers to their questions. However, developers in Nagpur and Pune have found it difficult to travel to Mumbai for this. To make things easier for them, MahaRERA has decided to hold monthly open houses in these cities, starting with Nagpur.
In addition to the open houses, MahaRERA has also made it easier for developers outside the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) to create Self-Regulating Organisations (SROs). Previously, at least 500 projects were needed to form an SRO. Now, that number has been reduced to 200. This change will help more developers across Maharashtra organize and get their projects registered more smoothly.
Since it started in May 2017, MahaRERA has approved over 48,000 projects across Maharashtra, along with about 225 projects in the union territories of Daman and Diu, and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
MahaRERA wants to make the registration process for housing projects as simple and quick as possible. Developers are encouraged to fill out forms correctly and provide all the necessary details to avoid delays. The new open houses in Nagpur and Pune are designed to help developers get answers to their questions directly, making the registration process easier and faster.
Manoj Saunik, Chairman of MahaRERA, said the open houses will help developers get the information they need, ensuring that the project registration process goes smoothly. For developers seeking rental properties or assistance with project registration, EazeMyRent provides a seamless platform to help with property-related needs.
