Kochi, one of the largest cities in southern India, is often referred to as the commercial capital of Kerala. The Kochi Water Metro operates daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. During peak hours, ferries run every 15 minutes, while off-peak services operate every 20–30 minutes.

To enhance last-mile connectivity, KMRL has introduced AC feeder bus services between the Kakkanad Water Metro Terminal and Infopark. These buses cater to IT professionals commuting from water metro terminals to office locations.
