Gurgaon's DLF Camellias Penthouse Sells for ₹190 Crore, Breaking Records
A penthouse in Gurgaon's DLF Camellias has been sold for a huge ₹190 crore, setting a new record for the most expensive high-rise apartment in the National Capital Region (NCR). This 16,290-square-foot property was bought by Info-x Software Tech Pvt Ltd, represented by its director, Rishi Parti.
Highest Price Ever
This sale has broken all records. The price comes out to ₹1.18 lakh per square foot for the super area and ₹1.82 lakh per square foot for the carpet area. This is far higher than Mumbai’s top areas, where the price for luxury apartments can reach ₹1.62 lakh per square foot. In comparison, a recent deal in Mumbai involved three apartments in Lodha Malabar, sold for ₹263 crore at ₹1.36 lakh per square foot.
Growing Demand for Luxury Homes in NCR
This sale shows how much demand there is for luxury homes in Delhi NCR, especially after the pandemic. DLF Camellias has been one of the priciest buildings in NCR, but new projects like DLF Dahlias are pushing even higher prices. DLF Dahlias, located near Camellias, is offering apartments priced between ₹60 crore and ₹100 crore, with a price of ₹65,000 per square foot. Over 100 apartments have already been sold even before the official launch.
NCR Leads in Luxury Real Estate
Delhi NCR is now the leader in luxury real estate in India. According to real estate consultancy JLL, the region accounted for 64% of luxury home launches in India’s top seven cities during the first half of 2024. This sale shows that NCR is becoming the go-to place for high-end properties. For those looking to rent in this growing market, visit EaseMyRent for the best rental options.
Though DLF has not commented on the ₹190-crore deal, it shows the strong demand and growth of the luxury real estate market in Delhi NCR."
