New Rules by UPSIDA on Lease Deeds and Plot Construction
The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has recently approved some changes that directly affect land allotments. According to the new rule:

If a lease deed is not executed within two years, the land allotment will be cancelled.

From November, this rule will be enforced.

If construction is not started on the allotted plot within two years, extra charges will be applied:

1% of the property's cost for the first year.

Another 1ch year till the 5th year.

From the 6th year onwards, 4% annually will be charged.

However, a grace period of 90 days has been granted for the execution of the lease deed. If the deed is completed within this timeframe, buyers can also get an interest waiver on documentation charges.
